People often think they can't be manipulated by the news media, and many people, especially liberals, trust news stations completely even when independent data proves they're being misled. Worse, the same people who call everyone Fascists generally get all their news from corporate owned media companies doing the bidding of the government, which is the very definition of Fascism.
